Operational and Cost Analysis in Aluminium and Glass Manufacturing: An Internship Study at Skyhub Partitions Pvt. Ltd

Abstract

This report talks about my internship called "Operational and Cost Analysis in Aluminium and Glass Manufacturing: An Internship Study at Skyhub Partitions Pvt. Ltd." It describes my position as an accountant and operations manager at a company that designs, produces, and delivers aluminium and glass partition systems and interior solutions for homes and offices. The company has special facilities for extrusion, surface treatment, and glass toughening, which gave me a clear view of how everything works. This internship was part of my MBA studies and really helped me link what I learned in school to actual work. I got to see many different business scenarios, and I worked on finding markets, contacting potential clients, and managing those relationships. I also helped create sales strategies, researched products like partitions, doors, and glass systems, which aimed at improving efficiency while also managing sound and noise control. I worked with installation teams to organize quality checks and delivery times to ensure the final products met quality rules and arrived on schedule. For this, I had to closely observe how the manufacturing team operated and make sure everything went smoothly during the installation. I also dealt with vendors and subcontractors to balance costs, schedules, and quality standards, which taught me how to handle both technical tasks and teamwork. With support from Dr. Jyoti Kappal, I was able to use what I learned in school about sales, operations, and decision-making in a real work environment. This experience helped me improve in areas like cost management, teamwork, and communication with different people involved in projects. It also contributed to my personal and professional growth and sparked my thesis idea, which looks at how businesses can follow procedures and adapt to changing markets. This summary gives a quick glimpse of the various lessons I learned about operations and costs, which I will discuss further in the next sections of the report. During my internship at Skyhub Partitions Pvt. Ltd., I learned how a company manages everything from product creation to installation in the aluminium and glass industry, which is a unique experience.
