Abstract
Waste management has become an important aspect of today’s life as the collection, transportation and disposable of municipal solid waste are unscientific and chaotic. Uncontrolled dumping of wastes on outskirts of towns and cities has created overflowing landfills, which are not only impossible to reclaim because of the haphazard manner of dumping, but also have serious environmental implications. This paper is an attempt to understand the regulations, initiatives and the role of technology in the domain of waste management towards achieving sustainability. The study sources it’s information from the various available secondary data such as literature from academic research, industry reports and case studies. The study tries to find out the role of entrepreneurship, technology in the domain of waste management.
