| dc.description.abstract | The advances made in Post-Sanction Restructuring of the Loan Division of the Bank of Baroda (BoB) Bank was the focus of my report written during my MBA summer internship. It emphasizes the need for effective post-sanction monitoring to reduce NPA volume, maintain asset quality, and enhance risk management in the banking industry of India. India's third largest public sector bank, the Bank of Baroda, has to deal with tough competition because of new regulations, advancements in technology, and rising customer demands. Though the bank enjoys the advantage of a strong bank branch network, digital banking, and government support, it has also to deal with heavy NPAs, slow service, and stiff competition from both private banks and technology driven banks. Internships focus on annual loan monitoring, creating CIBIL, complying with sanction terms, monitoring warning systems, collecting and interacting with loans, and borrowers. These tools offered firsthand knowledge of the loan monitoring system and the role of proper post sanction practices in enhancing defaults and client trust. Active supervision, digital technology assimilation, and customer-oriented reforms, the research highlights, are indispensable for sustainable longevity. We clearly come to know that BOB has become competitive by strengthening technology utilization, EWS and has improved their relations with fintech partners. The study wraps up with suggestions that emphasize the use of AI for borrower monitoring and tracking, and the implementation of ESG principles. | |
