Abstract

This report outlines my meaningful experience as an Accounts Payable Intern at Rebel Foods Private Limited, a global player in the FoodTech sector. My work in finance has been instrumental in assisting the transition from academia to the practice of financial management in a high velocity multi-brand setting. During this internship, I was an active participant in all aspects of the Accounts Payable including invoice processing, vendor management, payment reconciliations, and financial reporting. In conjunction with the other finance team members, I was able to apply several theoretical concepts in a real world application meanwhile demonstrating accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of financial transactions to meet the organization's growth and sustainability agenda in a multi-faceted business. This report illustrates the value of experience in action and the significance of understanding corporate true cash flow, vendor relationships and operational efficiency. It discusses how structured approach to vetting (vendor) invoices, utilizing technology to optimize efficiencies, and collaborative work amongst finance team members allowed for efficient operation to take place. The executive summary affords the reader observations and findings that are highlighted in less detail in later sections of the report that provide a clearer picture of actionable strategies and insights to adeptly position oneself for success during my tenure at Rebel Foods.
