Abstract

The title of the internship report is "Youth-Driven Brand Engagement: Internship Learnings at Viral Fission." The report encapsulates my stint as a Campaign Management Intern at Viral Fission, highlighting the way the company develops brand connect with India's largest student community network. The internship, as a part of the 2nd-MBA Toolbox curriculum, gave hands-on experience of how contemporary marketing agencies utilize the student community and digital media to develop effective connections between brands and youth communities. Throughout my time, I personally worked on running campaigns for key brands like Flipkart, Knorr, Elle 18, OnePlus, McDonald's, and 7-Eleven. My role included campaign planning, influencer and community management, facilitating proper execution of brand activities, monitoring performance metrics, and creating post-campaign reports. These activities provided me with useful experience on how brands approach youth-focused marketing strategies, connect digital activity with offline activations, and measure campaign effectiveness. Being part of the campaign management team on a daily basis enabled me to see the complete brand outreach process, from concept creation to implementation. I developed project coordination, communication, and time management skills as I gained first-hand experience of how data-driven campaign plans accelerate campaign influence. With the guidance of my supervisor, I was able to relate learning concepts in marketing, consumer behavior, and digital strategy to practical applications in influencer-based and community-centered brand building. This internship was a major input to my professional and personal growth, giving me insight into the dynamic work of youth-led platforms in defining contemporary brand engagement.
