Abstract

This executive summary provides an overview of my experiences and learnings as a Finance Associate at the Bombay Management Association (BMA), focusing on the operations and financial mechanisms of a non-profit organization. The BMA is dedicated to promoting excellence in management practices and enhancing the professional growth of management students and professionals through various initiatives, programs, and events. Throughout the internship, I actively participated in various events, meetings, and collaborative events among various other Non-profit organizations. My responsibilities included Financial Planning and Analysis, Budget Management, and preparation of financial reports for internal stakeholders and external stakeholders. Additionally, I assisted in the Fundraising Aspects. This role highlighted the importance of financial stability, sustainability, and efficiency and also prioritized the organization's mission and vision keeping that in mind and having the highest impact through programs and events. In conclusion, my experience at BMA provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the financial and operational aspects of non-profit organizations. This experience equipped me with financial skills, resource management, and fundraising techniques. This executive summary aims to provide a glimpse into the detailed findings and information in the report and give the readers many unknown facts about non-profits.
