Abstract

The title of the internship report is "BRIDGING FINANCE and ANALYSIS: Internship Experience at PRABHUDAS LILLADHER PVT LTD". It reflects my internship experience as a FinTech Business Analyst Intern at Prabhudas Lilladher Pvt Ltd, a reputable financial services firm that has a well established reputation in wealth management, equity research, broking, and investment advice. The report provides a comprehensive description of my learning experiences while on my internship during the summer, which had also been a part of our 2nd-MBA Toolbox course requirements for my time at Ivey. The internship offered me first-hand insight into how employees in each department collaborated with various functional areas and categories of financial products. As well, I witnessed how the organization acted as an integrated activity. During my internship, I participated in all aspects of financial analysis or business analysis whether that was contemplating market trends and potential investment ideas, creating presentations for clients, or providing research support on inquiries pertaining to portfolio management. During my internship, I worked with other employees to come up with solutions and strategies to deal with clients. Moreover, I saw in a collegial setting the role of risk assessment and compliance in the organizational decisionmaking of banks and financial institutions. The availability of the top professionals provided me with a rare chance to understand how financial models can be implemented, and the correspondence of customer preferences to the market involvement helps to realize the importance of a proper investment decision-making process. Through the help of my very special faculty advisor, Prof. Apurva Mehta, I also managed to bridge the gap between the conceptual aspects of finance and practice in investment and advisory settings. This internship provided me with personal and professional growth as it enhanced my love of analytical thinking, financial skills and flexibility in the dynamic business world. The following executive summary will give a brief report on the reflective exercises and experiences discussed in the latter parts of this report and therefore explain why an internship at Prabhudas Lilladher Pvt. Ltd. is a very enriching and enlightening experience to students wishing to pursue a career in the field of finance.
