Online buying is a relatively new development in electronic commerce, and it is unquestionably the way that people will shop in rural areas in the future. Many companies are transitioning to e-commerce by offering a variety of services online. E-commerce has currently expanded to include remote places in addition to major cities. Technology development, government initiatives, and financial support give rural communities the chance to increase e-commerce in a responsible manner. To transfer the items to the customers in rural areas, more than 1.55,000 post offices in distant locations are now connected. Even with all the government initiatives, it is still difficult for e-commerce to advance in rural areas. This paper will give an outline of e-commerce in rural areas and present some solutions to the issue. The study is primarily descriptive. Data are gathered from a number of websites, academic journals, and statistical reports.
