Exploring Family Managed Business

Abstract

This report outlines the college internship project done at Shree Gayatri Traders, a family-owned business dealing in Ambuja Cement and Tata Steel products located in Daman. The internship spanned six weeks from May 2nd to June 15th, 2023, during which the I gained valuable insights into the firm’s operations and management. I got to learn many things during the internship including understanding the cement and steel industry, learning about order placement, pricing strategies, billing, record-keeping, accounts management, customer interactions, dealing with product suppliers, employee management, stock maintenance, and gaining an overall understanding of the business operations.
