dc.description.abstractEmployee on-boarding plays a major role in constructing the first impression of the company in front of its newly joined employees. This report inculcates a research based on the employee experience and the journey of an employee which he goes through when he first entered the organisation. The on-boarding process is very crucial as it helps employees to get accustomed to the work environment of the organisation that they have newly joined. It helps them understand the culture of the company better, gives them a clarity about the mission and vision of the company which ultimately helps them contribute in a more effective and efficient manner towards the company. This particular report also incorporates some elements of the off-boarding process. A pleasant off-boarding process is also one of the key responsibilities that the HR department of a company needs to carry out. During the tenure of this internship, all the employees who were newly hired were given the questionnaire in order to get inputs on various parts of the procedure. Some of the areas of insights were documentation, pre-arrival communication, orientation procedures, training and growth opportunities, induction programme, and overall satisfaction. Key insights particular to HORIBA India were derived from the questionnaire replies after they had been analysed and combined. This study of the off-boarding exit interviews provided valuable information about the causes of employee departures and pointed out areas where the off-boarding process needs to be improved. The organisation may improve employee retention, minimise turnover costs, and build a healthy work environment that is favourable to long-term success by addressing important issues such as managerial effectiveness, career development, work-life balance, remuneration and benefits.
